Custom Options
[optional] This tab may be present on certain licenses, depending on the server configuration. Contact your system administrator if there are custom actions you would like to add to your product.
License Usage Information
At the top of the page, two links are available to view license activation information:
View Activation History - Clicking this link will display all activation history for the license.
View Installation History - Clicking this link will display all Installations associated with the license.
At the bottom of the page, select one of the tabbed options for license usage information.
Download Log - For products delivered by Electronic Software Delivery (ESD), this tab contains a report of the number of times that the user downloaded the software. It includes the date & time, status (if the download was completed or in progress), TCP/IP Address of the user downloading the software, version of the software downloaded, and the elapsed time of the download. The TCP/IP address is a clickable link that will perform a traceroute to the address. This is useful for auditing purposes. If a customer is located in the US and the downloads are coming from a user in Europe, the customer password could have been compromised.
Activation Log - For products delivered by Electronic License Activation (ELA), this tab contains a report of the number of times the user attempted to unlock/activate the software. This functionality has been moved to a separate, dedicated page which can be reached using the "View Activation History" link at the top of the page. Additionally, the Manual Activation link has been moved from here to the top of the page as well. See Manually Unlocking Customers.
It includes the date & time, Computer ID Number, TCP/IP Address of the user activating the software, any exception that caused the server to allow additional software activations, and the value of the License Update string at the time the software was activated. The TCP/IP address is a clickable link that will perform a traceroute to the address. This is useful for auditing purposes. If a customer is located in the US and the activation requests are coming from a user in Europe, the customer password could have been compromised. The Exception can be one of the following values:
Blank - The activation code was sent successfully - the activation count was decremented.
DECLI - The activation code request was declined due to no remaining activations.
< TH - The activation code was sent successfully because the computer ID number was within the unlock threshold specified on the product option. The activation count was not decremented.
#DAYS - The activation was allowed because the last successful activation attempt was farther in the past than the specified additional activation days specified on the product option. The activation count was not decremented.
The License Update field lists the value of the License Update string that was programmed at the time the activation code was requested. In addition:
Clicking the manual Manual Activation link to the upper right of the activation log will open the manual unlock page for the license. See Manually Unlocking Customers.
Clicking the View New Activation Log link to the upper left of the activation log will option the new activation log page. This page will replace the current activation log tab in future versions of SOLO Server.
Number and String Post Logs - Products using Electronic License Management (ELM) can send usage data periodically to SOLO Server. Using the functions SK_PostStrings() or SK_PostCounters(), up to five values can be sent at any time. Refer to the Protection PLUS online manual for the usage of these functions. This table contains the date & time, TCP/IP Address of the machine posting the data, the data itself, and the value of the License Update string at the time the software was activated. The TCP/IP address is a clickable link that will perform a traceroute to the address. This is useful for auditing purposes. If a customer is located in the US and the postings are coming from a user in Europe, the customer password could have been compromised. The License Update field lists the value of the License Update string that was programmed at the time the number or string values were posted.
Coupon/Udef - Displays information on any coupon and user defined field info on the license. Click the edit link to edit the user defined fields.
